Singing and Chanting Circle
Cantoria
To sing is to experience joy, fun, laughter. Singing frees the voice and chanting feeds the soul.
Lyndal leads a singing circle in songs and chants from around the world.
Together we draw from African, American Indian, Maori, European, Hebrew, Indian and Oriental, to name but a few.
We also sing Taizé (a multicultural spiritual community in the south of France) sacred songs and chants.
Singing by candlelight is a very special bonding and fulfilling experience
Please bring songs from your own culture and repertoire to share with others
Although we like to sing in harmonious parts, we do not aim to perform in public as a choir
This activity is for ourselves, for renewing our energy, centring, grounding, calming and meditation
We welcome all singers, especially those who think they cannot
sing.
The motto is "No wrong notes, only new harmonies"
